Sunday Champagne Brunch at Edge, Pan Pacific Singapore

By Friday, May 20, 2016 , , , , ,

Edge has won me back with their all-new theatrical Sunday Champagne Brunch! If you think it's gonna be the same as their 'regular' buffet, you can't be more wrong. This Sunday indulgence which consists  an extensive menu of unique International delicacies, is augmented with an unlimited Veuve Clicquot Champagne and live music.
You already know there are seven interactive live food theatres, and Edge has boosted the total stations to 16, which include a new Caviar Bar, Peking Duck station, and a crazy long counter of cheeses and sweets! Unlimited Veuve Cliquot Champagne and 3 cocktail bars say wert!
Your stomach would hardly survive the 4h long affair due to the sheer variety of food! Jr and I tag teamed to conquer this monstrous spread (and still failed).

I went with the cheeses (there are over 30 types of European cheeses. Adore the bleu); Iberico and Parma ham; pan seared hazelnut crusted foie gras; Avruga and Keta Caviar on blinis; and several glasses of Veuve Clicquot Brut of course.
Meanwhile, Jr tackled the fresh seafood which includes the Alaskan King Crabs, freshly shucked Oysters, Maine Lobsters, and Chilean Snow Crabs.

The boy went straight for the super strong Passion Fruit Mojito, and the refreshing Sugarcane Rum to accompany his seafood.
I much preferred the seemingly innocent sugarcane rum cocktail.
Onto more substantial nosh. How about a burger bigger than your face? :))
The live carving station showcased juicy prime ribs, and Hay Smoked Whole Baby Lamb. Grab some of them ribs and pop over to the live grill for that Ohmi Wagyu Striploin (tell them you want it rare because they tend to overcook the poor piece of cow). The garlic prawns were amazing too! Get some juicy German sausages from the hotel's butchery while you're at it.
For carbs, we highly recommend the a la minute Duck Tortello in an umami truffle mushroom sauce, chilled angel hair pasta with caviar, and the seafood/squid ink paella from the roving flambé trolley.
The Asian spread has always been fantastic. Definitely do not miss the KL Tai Lok Mee (love it)! There's also Nyonya Tau Yew Bak with Cili Cuca, Nandu Crab Biryani.. And that famous Edge’s signature satay. The Japanese section was given a complete miss because we were too stuffed!
Always save space for Edge's desserts! With over 20 sweet treats, we were thoroughly spoiled for choice. Not to be missed are the homemade soft chocolates (the matcha and rum ones are the best); Gluten-free Dark Chocolate Brownies; Yuzu Meringue tartlets, Black sesame macaron; Kahlua Tiramisu.
Oh and that coffee panna cotta! I practically inhaled it!
Jr approves of this tiramisu! It could do with a little more lady's fingers though. The display of breads, doughnuts, and pastries on display, looked more tantalizing than they tasted.
Look no further than Edge for a massively indulgent Sunday Champagne Brunch!
